Lee Chapman was found with severe injuries in Cromer Road on Friday and rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It is believed he was stabbed to death in Essex by a group of people and died at the scene.
His sister, Theresa Holmes, has now paid a heartbreaking tribute to her brother who had a “heart of gold”.
Theresa told he was a “lost man but he had a heart of gold”.
Theresa wrote on Facebook: “I see posts like this all day long, but nothing prepares you when you hear news like this. This is my brother through all his flaws and choices. Now we won’t ever get the chance to reconnect.”
She said she can’t explain how she is feeling after his death as she loved him truly.
“He was extremely lost and a huge prat but he was our prat. I couldn’t explain begin to explain how I feel apart from numb. I loved this man just as much as I love all my siblings”, she added.
Theresa told her family is hurt as they couldn’t steer him on a better path.
On Friday, Lee was stabbed to death and a witness heard a woman shouting “you f***ing c***” when Lee was bleeding on the road.
Another witness told the Sun that he heard someone screaming and came outside to help the young man who was bleeding on the road.
He said: “There was a lot of blood and he passed away after just one minute. I think he was probably stabbed repeatedly as he was screaming and it stopped and he started screaming again – this happened a few times.”
After Lee’s tragic death, a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, a 45-year-old woman, and a 44-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder.
However, they have been released on bail until April.
Senior investigating officer Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Julie Gowen told them they are investing Lee’s death and making good progress.
