Nicola Adams has won the Olympic gold medal during 2012 and the Rio 2016 games.

She is established as a British female boxer and had also participated in the World and European Champion.

Piers Morgan comments on the situation of female weightlifters, even acknowledging that he has “never been a boxing champion”. His only experience in the ring was when he stepped into it with boxers Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson. Morgan believes that he can take care of himself when it comes to defense.

He explains that the situation of transgender weightlifters could be the “new Bobby Riggs v Billie Jean King sporting battle of the sexes.. it would be utterly ridiculous”.

He says that the sizes matter because some people might be signing up for their own “death warrant” based on who was in the ring.point 117 | Bringing the statement into a full circle, he says that “men and women compete separately at almost every sport – because men are built more powerfully than women, enabling them to be stronger and faster”.point 306 | 1

Morgan is quick to say that he is not sexist and that it is an “unarguable biological fact”.

This also brings up his argument that putting in transgender weightlifters in the Olympics is a terrible mistake.

He says that there is not a lot of traction for this topic because people are too scared and that they have a “fear of cancellation”. Adding on, it is not the weightlifter’s, Laurel Hubbard, fault for being able to compete in the sporting event.

Morgan comments that it will be the end of the Olympic dream if Hubbard manages to win gold during the sport she has excelled on. Since she has a stronger body, she would have achieved the “Faster, Higher, Stronger” goal due to her “superior male body originated strength”.

He also reiterates that he supports transgender rights to equality and fairness, but he does not support it when it “damages women’s rights to equality and fairness”. In his words, it’s unfair and unequal. It is “not transphobic,” in fact, Morgan says that his logic is just common sense.
