A man died just a day later his wife died after the newly married couple was shot by the wife’s father on the new year’s eve.
29 years old Veton Musai, gave in to his injuries and died on Wednesday in the hospital just a day after his wife Lindita, who had died on the spot as her father opened gunfire on them.
The incident happened on New Year’s Eve at their home in Yarraville, western Melbourne at around 10.30 am on 31st December
Lindita’s father, Osman Shaptafaj, the 55 years old man is in a critical condition too as he self-inflicted with gunshot wounds and is in the hospital too.
Victoria Police has assumed for now that the matter was something in the family and that is how they got into a verbal fight in the first place.
When the co
uple was shot at their house they were not alone. The couple had guests over in the house and they stood outside with Osman. The couple was later found fallen on the porch with gunshot wounds on the upper part of their bodies.
The investigators are working on the case but the reason and the motive behind the alleged killing and gunshots are not cleared out yet.
The gun Osman had used to shoot the couple was found at the end of the street.
Friends and family of the couple had not expected it to happen and were broken with grief as they had just gotten married.
The loved ones of the couple were seen supporting and consoling each other on the loss they had to suffer with.
Some of the friends and family also shared their condolences on Facebook for the couple.
