My favorite DIY projects are the ones that can be done really cheaply.

They allow a few mistakes and they’re also just fun to do on the fly. This little trick allows you to use those little cheap dollar store tooth brushes you find everywhere. They’re not great for brushing your teeth but this neat little trick may make you think twice about grabbing some!

This trick comes thanks to Katrina from the Katrinaosity YouTube channel which we highly recommend! So this trick will allow us to turn those cheap toothbrushes into some funky looking bracelets! People won’t even be able to tell where you got them from! This can also be done with your kids as a fun activity. There is boiling water involved so be sure you are involved.

The first step is getting the necessary pieces. The first thing you will need are some of the cheap toothbrushes. Next, you will need a pot full of water and some needle-nose pliers.

Additionally you will need a towel so you can hold the toothbrushes while bending them and some tongs for fishing the toothbrushes out of the boiling water.

Next you’re going to take the needle-nose pliers and pull out the bristles from the toothbrush. Make sure you’re pulling the bristles out of toothbrushes that have the color you want and make sure you get all of them if you can. Having them rubbing against your skin will be rather uncomfortable!

Then bring the pot of water to a boil. When the water is finally boiling carefully place the toothbrushes into the water. You will want the toothbrushes to sit in the water for about 10 to 15 seconds or until they’re soft enough to bend.

Pull the toothbrushes out of the boiling water with the tongs. With your hand completely covered by the towel, carefully begin to bend the toothbrush. You want to bend it so that it can fit around your wrist. Be sure to take your time and be cautious. You can always put the toothbrush back in the boiling water to make it soft enough to bend again.

If you want an even cooler design, you can twist the toothbrush before bending it to give a cool, unique look!

After allowing the toothbrushes to cool down and dry you can finally enjoy your cool new fashion accessories!
