Tom Hanks To Be Given Cecil B DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award At Golden Globes


According to sources closed to Golden Globes, Hollywood legend Tom Hanks is going to be honored with Cecil B DeMille Lifetime Achievement at the award ceremony.

Hanks will be receiving the lifetime achievement award at Golden Globes 2020which are going to be held on 5th January next year.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) who sponsors the award every year have expressed their happiness and pride in honoring the living legend of Hollywood movies.

The American actor who started his career in acting back in 1979 has bagged several Academy Awards and Golden Globes between 1994-1995 for his tremendous performance in Forrest Gump and Philadelphia.

Tom Hank, 63 has worked in over 80 films throughout his entire career in Hollywood cinema. When he receives the lifetime achievement award, he will be in his fifth decade in the Hollywood industry.

HFPA further added that with every film Hanks had given his exceptional performance, love and admiration towards this great actor have only enlarged.

Just like the compelling charm he spreads in front of the silver screen, Hanks works flawlessly as a writer, producer, and director.

The film “Big” that released in 1988 was indeed a big breakthrough in Hank’s career. Fans were allured by his portrayal of a young boy who was trapped in the body of an older man.

Tom also did some massive box office blockbusters that include Sleepless in Seattle, Saving Private Ryan, and the animated franchise, Toy Story.

Hank’s further projects include A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhoods where he will be seen playing the role of American kid’s TV host, Mr. Rogers.
