18-month-old Sunni was recorded by his mum, Tiffanie Mckenzie, when the rain finally hit the bushfire-devastated area in New South Wales, Australia, where the family lives.

As Tiffanie, who lives at a farm in Scone, explained, her boy was overjoyed when he saw the rain for the first time ever.

“He loves playing with the hose, but we’re on tank water so I don’t let him do it very often,” the mother said in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

In her short video, the boy’s seen running around and not being bothered by rain pouring down on him at all.

“But when the rain came we raced outside to move the plants out and he just kept walking out to the rain and just stood in it. He hasn’t had the chance to do this before. Needless to say, he enjoyed it,” the mum added.

As Mckenzie explained, the reason behind the boy’s adorable reaction to rainfall is the fact that it hadn’t properly rained in their region ever since the boy was born.

“We haven’t had a rain event like this in over three years. We’re hoping it keeps falling over the next five days,” she said.

While little Sunni’s reaction sure was priceless, plenty of children from Australia got to experience rain for the first time ever during the recent rain bomb.

Another toddler who was caught on camera having the time of her life was Lacey Sewell, 14 months, who played in puddles surrounding her family home in Queensland.

“I couldn’t stop taking photos. She absolutely loved it. It was refreshing for me too just to watch her have so much fun in it,” the girl’s mum, Emma, said in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

“She has seen light spitting before but this is the first time that it has rained heavy enough for her to be able to really appreciate it – feeling the raindrops fall on her head and being able to play in puddles and mud.”
