A mother managed to take a video of her infant son singing and dancing just 24 hours after he had undergone skull reconstructive surgery to save his life.
Twenty-three-month-old Branson Figueroa was filmed by his mother, Heather, as he was walking and singing a day after he was operated on for Craniosynostosis syndrome. Doctors performed the surgery at Vermont University Medical Center.

With the successful surgery, Brandon even sang happy birthday to his brother, Jameson. Even with his head wrapped with a thick bandage and his eyes shut due to the swelling, nothing could stop Brandon from being happy.
Heather said: “We are so proud of our son, and his strength.
“The nurse asked him if he wanted to walk not even being able to see and so swollen, his little heart didn’t think twice.
“He would have run off the bed if you let him.
“Never did I think sharing this video would bring so much love and joy around the world, but it has been nothing short of a miracle.”
Brandon’s condition was discovered after Heather noticed unusual bumps at the top of the infant’s head back in June. Doctors later diagnosed him with Craniosynostosis syndrome, which can cause the skull to grow abnormally and put intense pressure on the brain.
Traveling from Nottingham, New Hampshire, the family went to the hospital in Vermont following consultations with several surgeons.
And thanks to the successful seven-hour surgery, Brandon can expect to live a normal life with normal skull growth.
Heather continued: “I felt it was different, I cut his hair and just knew something was off.
“Branson would wake up all hours of the night and just be so uncomfortable, as a mom, and to other children close to his age we have never experienced this with his siblings’ sleep patterns and I just knew he was trying to tell me something.
“We went to the University of Vermont Medical Center and two of the best surgeons I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, their presence in the room and knowledge is nothing short of amazing.
“The neurosurgeon right off the bat new my concerns and explained it was also his squamosal sutures that were closed.
“Never in our lives have we been so nervous and last Wednesday was the hardest day I feel as parents we have endured yet but, they all made it a wonderful journey and their love and care were short of amazing.
“They made him feel so comfortable and loved.
“We are so proud of our son, and his strength, he is home now.
“The doctors did their job fixing his skull, and now his brain will continue to grow with no issues.
“We are just so happy to have him home, and so fortunate for his doctors and nurses for all they have done.”
