A toddler has gone viral after picking up an empty plastic bottle and returning it to the litterbug who threw it through his car window in order to get rid of it.
The incident occurred in Jining, China, where Jing Lulu was walking with her young son around the city and taking videos of her adorable toddler.
Suddenly, a nearby car driver threw an empty plastic bottle out of his window onto the ground in front of the young boy, Sun Jiarui.
Immediately, the toddler picked up the bottle and returned it to the driver probably thinking that he dropped it by accident.
Clearly ashamed by his own actions, the driver accepted the bottle and quickly pulled up his window before driving off.
“That day, he probably thought the bottle had fallen from the car by accident. He is a very uncomplicated child. If he sees other people drop stuff, he always helps to pick up,” Jing told The Daily Mail.
“He is only one year and three months old and probably doesn’t have a strong sense of environmental protection, but his action taught the driver a lesson.”
As the proud mum added, her son “always respects the elderly” and is never shy to help them pick up stuff because he’s a “polite and curious child.”
After the unusual exchange went viral, people were quick to applaud the young man. They also didn’t go easy on the driver who was taught a perfect lesson by the toddler.
