On a Delta flight flying from Atlanta, Georgia to Phoenix, Arizona a passenger named Richard Gotti saw an old man begin to have heart problems and fell unconscious.
Thousands of feet in the air, away from doctors and appropriate medical care, this is truly a terrifying emergency.
Which is why the absolutely incredible response from the strangers on the flight is so incredible. The old man’s life was in the hands of his fellow passengers and if they ignored or mishandled it could’ve been easily have become a tragedy. But instead Richard Gotti saw firsthand how incredible humans can be when they work together. None of these strangers knew the old man struggling, but they all decided to help and do their best.

Richard wrote about the experience on Facebook. For over an entire hour, the old man’s life hanged in the balance as every passenger around him did their absolute best to make sure he would make it through. Truly an incredible moment.
As everything was going on, Richard caught a tall stranger who Richard thought he recognized, but he couldn’t figure out who it was. The man was comforting the family of the unconscious man. An act of kindness in an extremely stressful moment. Who was this strangely familiar man, though?

I observed people praying and lifting this man up to the Lord in a way that I’ve never seen before. The crew of Delta Airlines were amazing. They acted in a fast and professional manner! Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle.”

“That guy was Tim Tebow.
He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation. The plane landed in Phoenix and that was the first time they got a pulse back!

Richard’s post quickly went viral as many could not believe the incredible story. Richard then shared a message for the NFL quarterback himself.
“God has given you a platform to stand on to share your faith by example, and you truly live what you speak! I can not begin to imagine the lives you have influenced with your Godly character and your morals.”
