Couple Passed Away Just Hours Apart After 74 Years Of Marriage
Until death do us part.
This is perhaps one of the most common phrases used in wedding vows.
It signifies the eternal love between a couple, and that nothing will ever come in between them.
For this particular couple, it seems as though evendeath couldn’t tear them apart.
Leonard and Hazel Cherry were high school sweethearts, who got married in 1942 in Muldoon, Texas.
And for 74 years, the couple loved and care for each other.point 249 |

Even though she was 93, Hazel was still driving around and performing daily chores perfectly on her own. In the mean time, Leonard’s condition was getting worse.
On a Thursday, Leonard passed away at 1pm.
Strangely, then, Hazel passed away within few hours – at 11pm on the same day.
Since Hazel showed no signs of sickness, the doctors weren’t clear what caused her death.
Still, the family is grateful that both Hazel and Craig can be together forever.point 266 |
“The more I think about it, I begin to smile because of how much they loved each other,” said David Cherry, their son.point 108 | He also added, “I feel blessed that Daddy’s suffering is over, and I feel blessed that Mom is with him and that she didn’t have to live alone.point 241 |
