After 74 Years Of Marriage She Passes Just Hours After Him So They Can Reunite In Heaven

This is perhaps one of the most common phrases used in wedding vows.

It signifies the eternal love between a couple, and that nothing will ever come in between them.

For this particular couple, it seems as though even death couldn’t tear them apart.

Leonard and Hazel Cherry were high school sweethearts, who got married in 1942 in Muldoon, Texas.

And for 74 years, the couple loved and care for each other.point 249 |

“They had the strongest love ever,” said Craig Cherry, their only grandson.point 76 |

Then, at the age of 95, Leonard was placed in hospice care at the St.point 131 | Catherine Center.point 147 |
Even though Hazel was healthy, she didn’t want to be apart from her husband.point 216 |

So, Hazel moved in next door in The Village at Providence Park nursing home.point 63 | 1

Even though she was 93, Hazel was still driving around and performing daily chores perfectly on her own. In the mean time, Leonard’s condition was getting worse.

On a Thursday, Leonard passed away at 1pm.
Strangely, then, Hazel passed away within few hours – at 11pm on the same day.

Since Hazel showed no signs of sickness, the doctors weren’t clear what caused her death.

Still, the family is grateful that both Hazel and Craig can be together forever.point 185 |
“The more I think about it, I begin to smile because of how much they loved each other,” said David Cherry, their son.point 293 |

He also added, “I feel blessed that Daddy’s suffering is over, and I feel blessed that Mom is with him and that she didn’t have to live alone.point 133 | point 140 | 1
