It is terrible news when someone dies.
But the worst part becomes when the family and the loved ones of the person are unable to find the reason for the death. Illness can kill people but for the same, it is important to detect an illness too.
Joseph Elone, a 17 years old boy had just came back home from a month long trip to the woods where he was doing a fellowship of environment.
The young boy was entering his house, following his mother back in 2013 when he collapsed and fell to the ground. Within a few hours, he was declared dead by the doctors who were stumbled when it came to finding out the reason for his death.
Well, while he was in the woods, a tick had bitten him and the boy developed an infection in the heart he had no idea about. It took a while to develop the infection and affect his body.
He had brought the tick along with him to his hometown of Poughkeepsie, New York.
Even after months of his death, doctors were not able to find out what was the cause of his death. The infection was undetectable and it has killed about 9 people in the US alone.
Now the region is becoming warmer and because of the turn in climate, the grounds are getting fertile for the germination of these ticks.
Every year in the US alone, there are 30,000 cases reported of the infection and the sad news is that the number is still growing with a rapid speed.
Although there are antibiotics present now that can deal with the infection but yes, the infection has killed people and it can still kill more. Be safe.
