Three kids – 13-year-old Haylie Wenke, her 6-year-old brother Reagan, and their friend Ashley Dayton – found a wallet that had $700 in cash.
The kids returned the wallet to the owner and now are being praised by Internet users after a video of them was shared online.
Jamie Carlton’s son had dropped his wallet that had $700 in cash in the driveway of their home in Colorado.
The three kids spotted the wallet and went to Carlton’s house to return the wallet.
The security system asked them to leave a message. Haylie said: “We found your wallet outside of your car and we just thought we would give it back to you. I’m going to put it over here so no takes any money.”
Carlton shared the footage online with the caption: “If this doesn’t renew or at least refresh your faith in humanity, you need help. These kids are amazing … Their parents should be so proud of them.”
The video instantly went viral and everyone praised the kids. One user wrote: ‘The parents of these children should be PROUD PROUD PROUD. THEY DID SOMETHING REALLY RIGHT WITH THESE KIDS. GOOD PARENTING BEYOND 101’.

When asked about their good deed, they told KDVR: “We just thought it would be a good thing to do. It just feels good because we really didn’t need the money. So we just decided to give it back.”
