The former cop’s return to his wife was confirmed by his lawyer, Earl Gray, who refused to provide details of the location due to safety concerns.

As Gray explained, they are planning on filing a motion to have all charges against Lane dismissed.

“Now we can watch what happens next from outside. We will bring a motion to dismiss and hopefully it will be granted,” Gray said according to Star Tribune.

Days before the 37-year-old’s release, a fundraiser in his name was spotted whereas the website was created with the intent to raise donations for the Lane family’s defense fund. While the legitimacy of the site was confirmed by Gray, the attorney said he didn’t know how much money had been raised.

As Gray previously insisted, the case against Lane is “weak.” The attorney also claimed that his client asked Derek Chauvin, the former officer charged with second-degree murder of Floyd, if the man should be moved when he was saying he couldn’t breathe during the arrest.
