Thieves Stole Electrician’s Tools And Police Said It Was Legal, So He Came Up With Sweet Revenge

61-year-old Ray Taylor became disgruntled after thieves stole his gear from his vehicle, so he decided to wire up his van to give tool thieves the shock of their lives!

Mr. Taylor came up with the idea after losing expensive equipment and police have said that the process was legal.

So he fitted the system to accompany a siren. He said that if the sirens do not scare tool thieves, the shock will.

In an interview with The Sun, Mr. Taylor said: “They’ll get a zap.”

Thieves trying to break into the vehicle will be shocked from a ‘live’ door handle. They will also be faced with two fire-arm like sound bombs and a siren. They all cause a 120-decibel din, which is equivalent to a jumbo jet taking off!

“It’s solved all my problems, so I can sleep easy,” Mr. Taylor expressed. “The shock isn’t going to do any lasting damage but it will make you jump a bit.”

Mr. Taylor has copyrighted his design and is now charging to fit similar systems. The position of the zapper means the shock is isolated from the rest of the vehicle and isn’t live. Both the siren, sound bombs, a strobe light, and the zapper are part of the same circuit fitted to a switch in a cabin.

When someone attempts to pull on the handle, the switch will become activated through sensors attached to the door of the vehicle.

Police service said he must put a clear warning sign on his van, so he has a warning that reads: “Danger Live Terminals.”

One internet user said: “Thieves follow builders vans home after work and do it. Imagine filching gits making off with van and tools .Happened to someone I know in London. Lower than low to do that to someone .This device is not legal or at least will generate lots of revenue for the ambulance chasers and courts.”

Another commented: “Good for him!!! This is right out of control in the area I live in and when theyre caught its only a matter of a few weeks before the same ones are back again!!!”

A third said: “These gits cannot read anyway and would not know what live terminals mean but saying that they will find away around it (I know how but keeping that to myself)”
