The theme park has responded after a mother claimed that she was forced to leave because of her shorts.
Bailey Breedlove was visiting the Six Flags theme park in Oklahoma with her daughter when police approached her because of her outfit.
In her viral TikTok video, Bailey claimed that the police grabbed her by the arm and told her that she would need to change if she wanted to stay in the park with her daughter and her partner.
Bailey, who has autism, said that she was told by police she could be charged with ‘criminal trespassing’ if she did not leave the theme park.
The TikTok video shows her child crying as officers demand to see her ID even though she already told them that they would leave.
A spokesperson for the theme park has refused the mother’s version of events, saying officers had been reacting to Bailey’s ‘abusive behavior.’
The spokesperson also said that the TikTok video “does not fully portray her behavior during the incident.”
The park said in a statement: “The guest was initially stopped because her shorts exposed a significant portion of her buttocks.
“She was given multiple opportunities to change or cover up, but refused. Instead, she responded with profanity and offensive conduct, including further exposing her buttocks.”
“The guest was removed from the park after she refused to stop her unruly and offensive behaviour, targeted at the police and other park guests. The video clip this guest has posted on the internet does not fully portray her behaviour during this incident.”
The mother-of-one has since accused the theme park of sexualizing women for making her leave because of her shorts.
