If you thought that Brazilian bikini bottom trend is about to take over the beaches this summer, you’re in for a big surprise.
With fashion on the rise, new styles are emerging on a daily basis.
The ‘upside down’ bikini is one such recent controversial example that left people speechless. While some are already on board with the new style, others are committed to the belief that such things should never be practiced in the first place.
Cantik, an Aussie swimwear label, recently shared a picture of a model with an ‘upside down’ bikini and asked their fans if they would be willing to try out the style for themselves.
Unlike the conventional triangle-shaped bikini top, this piece forms a wide hole in the middle of the chest, resulting in highlighting the sideboob and cleavage unlike anything before.
The best thing about the style is that you can achieve the ‘upside down’ look by using any piece of bikini top that is already occupying your wardrobe.
One of the main issues, however, is that the bikini isn’t supported by straps, meaning that the bust is the sole thing keeping the goods together.
The style is believed to be invented by Valentina Fradegrada, an Italian model, who shared an instructions video in September last year.
How to? If you’re willing to try this out, simply tie a knot at the top of your chest using the halter straps to separate the ‘triangle’ area.
The new trend received a lot of positive feedback, including comments claiming this style is an “instant boob job.”
However, there are also many of those who are criticizing the idea for being too radical. Some also complained that the style only suits specific breast types.
“My boobs would fall into the hole,” one commenter wrote.
“Possibly the stupidest thing I’ve seen all day,” another one said. “It’s absolutely ridiculous.”
