But riddles are not always fun but frustrating because not knowing the answer is not part of the fun, at least for me.

The puzzle looks simple but what has made it difficult is that it has omitted the obvious answer “6.” Now, what’s your answer? Think before you scroll down else the fun will be lost.
Seeing the pattern and based on our elementary school knowledge, we know that the obvious answer is six because it is the only logical answer.
But the puzzle already mentioned that the answer is not six. This is where your creative thinking comes into the play. You have to perceive this problem in a different light.
