The best friends, Samantha and Taylor, have been dating each other for more than three years when they decided to move one step forward and tie the knot.
Taylor popped the question for Samantha when they were in Mexico, celebrating their holidays, and Samantha, without any delay said yes.
Now it was the time to plan their wedding. But little did they know that the things were about to take some bad turns.
They had planned their wedding at Cancun beach, the same beach where they had exchanged the rings. They went to Cancun for fixing some last minute details when Samantha received some bad news.
Kathy, Samantha’s mom, have been the patient of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for last twenty years, but in those days her condition worsened so much that she was declared unfit for attending her daughter’s marriage on the beach.
When the couple came to know about this, they decided to change their plans and plan the marriage somewhere near the home. But even that wasn’t enough as Kathy who was already suffering from MS, was now diagnosed with colon cancer.
Heartbroken, Samantha decided to postpone the marriage, resigned from her job, and started living with her mother to take better care of her.
While taking care of her mother, she stumbled upon a contest organized by ‘The Knot.’ In the contest, people could submit the ideas of their dream weddings. The contest declared Samantha as the winner.
The prize of the contest was an ‘all expenses paid’ wedding, planned by a professional planner. Samantha and Taylor received the prize, and finally, all was well.
However, there was one more surprise planned for their big day.
After all, the ceremonies of the wedding were done, and it was the time for the couple dance, the musicians told the couple that there were some improvisations.
Samantha wanted the song “Love You Like That” by the country singer Canaan Smith, to be played during their wedding dance. However, what she did not know was that the very same country singer was going to perform at her wedding reception.
When the musicians interrupted their wedding dance, the lead singer told the couple that they have one more surprise for them. The surprise came in the form of Samantha’s favorite singer playing her favorite song at her dream wedding.
The most important part of the day was the fact that Samantha’s mom was present at the wedding too. More reason for Samantha to be happy!
