They say that cleanliness is next to godliness and this little thing has been pounded to us ever since we were little kids.

How many times have we groaned at having to mow the lawn, wash the dishes, or take out the trash when there’s nothing more we would like to do than just sit back and watch TV or just sleep in for the whole weekend?

However, that thing called life means that we should always exert effort to keep not just our bodies clean and tidy but our surroundings as well. It goes beyond the concern for hygiene (although that is a very valid reason to keep clean).

Being tidy and uncluttered also helps to keep the mind clear as more often than not, the state of our surroundings influences the state of our minds and vice versa. Perhaps this is what the saying about cleanliness being akin to godliness comes from.

Either way, an artist named Dino Tomic from Notodden, Norway, seems to be going against the grain because the windshield of his beat-up Ford Mondeo is caked with a thick layer of dust. But just as we should make lemonade when there are lemons thrown at us, Dino decided to draw an intricate copy of The Last Supper using the dust on his windshield as a canvas.

The fact that he’s able to draw on the dust is already remarkable enough but the fact that he was able to put so much detail into it is simply astounding. Dino masterfully utilizes both ends of a paintbrush to carefully draw lines on his improvised canvas until hints of Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpiece slowly takes shape.

A close-up of Dino’s work reveals that even the hairs of the disciples’ beards and the wrinkles in their clothes are drawn out in detail. And even with all that work put in, he doesn’t bat an eye when he used the windshield wipers to wipe away all the dust.

Dino said: “The process is trial and error since everything I do has not been done before.

“I just try everything I can to make it work

“I feel awesome making all kinds of work because I can think outside of the box and experiment with things normally no one does.

“I like to create art that I can let go.

“Nothing lasts forever.”
