A new report revealed that Tom Hanks would be awarded Cecil B DeMille Awards at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
The ceremony would be held on January 2020.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).
Tom Hanks, 63 is currently in the midst of promoting is new drama titled “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” The actor has a very reckoned history with the Golden Globes; he has already been awarded eight awards and has been nominated 15 times.
Hanks will accept this award at Hollywood’s Party of the Year on January 5, 2020, Sunday. The whole event will be aired live on NBC.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s President Lorenzo Soria revealed that they are proud to accord the 2020 Cecil B DeMille Award, Tom Hanks.

Tom Hanks was awarded his first Oscar in the year 1994 for his moving character of AIDS-stricken lawyer in the Philadelphia.
He won his second Oscar the following year for his remarkable performance in Forrest Gump. He also won a Screen Actors Guild award for the latter movie.
