Teenager Solved Three Decade Old Case With His GoPro Camera

Recently, Canada police solved a three decades ago case with the help of a 13-years-old boy.

Canada police recently solved the mystery behind the case of a woman who went missing three decades ago. The 13 years old boy reportedly solved the case when he took his GoPro camera for a dip in the lake.

Max Werenka (13 years old) was riding on a boat on Griffin Lake near Revelstoke. He knows the area quite well because his parent run a cabin business there.

After settling some guests, they spotted a car submerged under 16 feet of water. The car was spotted on the GoPro camera which Max took for a dive.

The family immediately called the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, assuming that it might be some unturned vehicle. Police officials reached the spot a few days later.

Max’s mother stated that they didn’t think there was any serious twist to this unravel. When the police started their investigation, it was found that the car belonged to a person who went missing back in 1992.

After searching on the basis of the license plate, it was found that the car belonged to a 69-year-old Janet Farris who went missing 27 years ago.

The RCMP officials stated that they don’t have any suspicions about Farris’s death, but in order to gain more information, they would inspect the vehicle and would send it for forensic tests as well.

Applauding Max for his outstanding work and support for solving a long-closed case, one of the RCMP officials said they’d be looking at Max as potential employment in police force some years down.
