On December 2, 2018, the teen decided to take a nap after experiencing pain and discomfort. As her condition worsened, she was rushed to a hospital where doctors placed her in an induced coma.

The doctors soon also found out that the 18-year-old was heavily pregnant and suffering from preeclampsia, prompting them to perform an emergency C-section.

Four days later, Ebony woke up only to find out that she had given birth and became a mom during her long sleep.

As the girl later revealed, she had no idea she was pregnant because she hadn’t missed her period or experienced any pregnancy symptoms.

For months, however, a baby was growing and hiding in one of her two uteruses, whereas no one noticed or suspected that Ebony was pregnant.

“I didn’t think I even wanted kids, at least not for another 10 years and never expected to be a young mum,” the teen says.

“Waking up from a coma to be told I had been pregnant and had given birth to a baby girl was overwhelming to say the least.

“Meeting my baby was so surreal. It felt like an out of body experience. I worried I wouldn’t bond with my daughter because I had no time to get my head around her arrival, but I think she’s amazing.”

Though her experience left her shocked to say the least, Ebony is now convinced that her story is an “absolute miracle.”

“It’s an absolute miracle. I wouldn’t change Elodie for the world,” she added.
