But one teenage boy from Fernley, Nevada saw his mom’s trouble and decided to do something about it.

Being a single mom isn’t easy and no matter how difficult, parents would never want to put their burdens onto their children but many children know when their parents are struggling. William Rabillo is one of those children and warmed the hearts of millions with his act of kindness and self-sacrifice.

Rabillo’s mother Krystal June Preston said in a Facebook post that the family had recently fallen on hard times, “The last couple weeks have literally been hell filled with so many tears, anger, confusion, and heartache.”

One of the struggles she faced was getting herself to work or take her 3 kids where they needed to go without having a car.

Rabillo knew of this and when he watched a video on YouTube in which someone gifted their mother with a car, he decided to do the same.

He found a woman on Facebook selling a white 1999 Chevy Metro and reached out to her to offer a trade, his X-Box and some yard work for her car.

He told ABC 8, that at first, she declined, “It was really cheap so I asked her if I could trade it or earn it, and at first she said no. After she thought about it, then she said yes.”

After achieving the deal, the teen told his mother he had bought her a car. According to Preston, “William came home and said, ‘Mom I bought you a car.’ I of course laughed and told him, ‘Ya right!’”

Once Preston realized that her son was telling her the truth, she was overcome with emotion, “I completely lost it. I started balling my eyes out. I am speechless my 13 year old son bought me a car. He did some work for this women and that was his payment that he worked out with her. And here I thought it was a joke… Nope I was handed the keys and paperwork to the car and I’m freaking out but so in shock.”

Thousands of people have now liked or shared the Facebook post with the teen proudly standing in front of the car, but the teen didn’t aim for attention.

“I didn’t really want that to happen,” he told ABC 8. “I just wanted to do it, that’s all.”
