Kamala Harris has been put under fire for not visiting the US-Mexico border that lies between Mexico and the United States.
This will be the first time ever that she has publicly announced and has plans to visit the border in person, for she had prolonged the journey with a Latin America tour to address the problem by its roots.
There is a lot of criticism coming from the Republicans because she failed to make her trip sooner, but she is acting upon it now in order to fix the problem at hand. President Joe Biden had named her the border czar, and the public would hear tidbits about what the vice president was doing in order to keep it under control.
Lester Holt, an individual a part of NBC, presses Kamala Harris saying that she “hasn’t been to the border” and in response she says, “And I haven’t been to Europe”.
Since she is finally making the trip, and many conservatives had pushed her to this point, Senator Ted Cruz is furious at her future plans. The public labels Cruz as “king of handling things incorrectly,” since he had fled to Cancun while there was a power crisis in Texas.
He expresses his frustration of Harris’ plans, saying “so she announces that she’s going to El Paso. El Paso is a lovely city. It is a beautiful place in Texas. It is not also, it also doesn’t happen to be the locus of the crisis.” John Roberts replies that the location she needs to go to is the Rio Grande Valley.
He describes the Rio Grande Valle as being almost on the southern tip of Texas, though it is 800 miles away. He tries to guide Harris, saying that she needs to go to the Rio Grande Valley, to go to McAllen, to go to the Donna temp facility because the tent is a part of the Biden administration that they have created in midst of the crisis.
There is still backlash on what Senator Ted Cruz has given her because he had left millions of people behind for his Cancun trip, there were people and animals that were freezing to death during the power outage.
