Parents are still worried about their education and therefore, are homeschooling them. Children more than anyone else need social interaction to develop their mental abilities.

However, due to the lockdown, they are feeling frustrated, and parents are homeschooling. Seeing this, a teacher has begged the parents to stop homeschooling their children and encouraged them to be their social support.

He has filmed himself in his classroom talking to the parents, urging them to not school at home. In the video, he explains that kids, including his own daughter and son, are quite upset with the whole lockdown thing as they lack social interaction.

He said that children are going to miss the social interaction and contact. So, it is the parents’ job to ensure that they don’t feel that way.

He requested the parents to stop setting up a homeschool, not stick to a timetable, and stop creating a classroom environment for their children.

He said that the children at his school are used to playing and working together.

So, his homework for every student at the Cathedral is to paint a picture, make a card, play a game, do a jigsaw puzzle, tell each other story, set up a den in, build a Lego model, and bake a cake.

All that children need at this point is social interaction. Keeping them busy with homework and study materials will do no good, he insisted.
