“After schools went into lockdown, the D&T teacher groups that I’m a member of on Facebook started to look for ways that we could help the NHS in its time of need,” the Good Samaritan said in an interview with LADbible.

After realizing that the lab at their school, the Park House School, was empty due to lockdown, the teachers decided to use it to build some three hundred face visors that offer additional protection to healthcare workers.

As their selfless efforts went viral, the teachers were joined by another school that pitched in and made nearly two hundred visors as well.

In addition to all of her work, the teacher has also started a JustGiving fundraiser to get enough money to replenish materials and make even more protective visors.

“I’m proud, but feel I’m not the one on the front line having to care for what are some incredibly poorly people, so only doing my bit, and the donations have really inspired me,” Hayes told LADbible.
