As we are all forced to stay at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most are struggling to pay bills as many are unable to work.
That’s why Taylor Swift decided to do something to help her loyal fans during this very difficult time.
To give her fans some support, the singer has been gifting them thousands of dollars! She has been reaching out to her Swifties and sending them money.
One of her fans, Holly Turner, a freelance photographer, shared about the generous donation on social media. She wrote on Twitter: “I made a post on tumblr about how i was scared i wouldn’t be able to stay living in NYC because of what corona has done to the music industry.
“@taylorswift13 literally single-handedly saved my ability to stay here. i cannot even believe my eyes right now.”
In an interview with E! News, Holly said that she was shocked when she read Taylor’s message.
“I saw that she had just started following me on Tumblr, so I was jumping around and screaming about that, and then I saw that the top post on Tumblr was about the fact that I was financially struggling and I thought, ‘There’s no way she’s following me because of that. Then I started losing my mind even more.”
Holly from New York City has been unable to work due to the outbreak.
“I wasn’t going to be able to stay in my apartment after May, if it weren’t for this,” Holly explained. “I have been working my entire life to be able to live in New York City and I thought that was going to be taken, and she saved that for me. So, I am just so, so, so grateful.”
Taylor also left a heartwarming message that read: “Holly, you’ve always been there for me. I want to be there for you right now. I hope this helps. Love, Taylor.”
Other fans also shared screenshots of messages they got from the singer.
Samantha Jacobs shared a screenshot of Taylor’s message, which read: “Samantha, I saw your tweet about being stressed about bills piling up and I want to help. What’s the best way I can gift you $3,000? Do you have PayPal? Love Taylor.”
