The video was reportedly recorded over the weekend and it featured the black man yelling out ethnic-based slurs as well as a series of profanities that appeared to be directed towards one Asian-American based officer from the NYPD. Moreover, local media outlets went on to confirm how the incident took place in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park as that is where a number of protesters gathered and clashed with officers over the newly stated curfew of 10 pm.

The startling footage was reportedly put up on the Reddit platform, where the black man continues to target the officer by stating, ‘you’re not even from this nation, you ch**k!”

The incident began as a group of police officers requested the black man to move away from the road and enter onto the sidewalk.

Clad in a white-toned t-shirt and a baseball cap too, the man appears to only single one the Asian-raced police officer, unleashing a series of awful abuses at him. “You are a piece of sh*t,” he goes on to add.

Soon, the black citizen is heard repeating the same offensive racially-themed slurs, which target the officer’s Chinese descent a number of times. The words draw zero offense from the officer who patiently listens to what the man repeatedly says.

Meanwhile, another officer makes an attempt to deescalate the entire situation by leading his fellow colleagues away, which further aggravates the man to yell more abuse.

And that’s when another bypasser hears the man and asks him to stop calling people a ch**k. On that note, the black citizen says that people of color can’t be racist. He also mentioned how the cops were not his friends but he did work for the state and hence believes that he pays for the salaries that the officers receive.
