Tamar Braxton was reportedly rushed to the hospital after she was found unresponsive in her hotel room, presumably after attempting to take her own life.
The 43-year-old TV personality, singer, and actress was staying at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Los Angeles together with her boyfriend, David Adefeso, at the time of the incident.
According to the reports, it was Adefeso who called the emergency services after finding his girlfriend unresponsive in their hotel room.
According to David, Braxton had been drinking and consumed an unidentified number of prescription pills before he found her.
As The Blast reported, the ambulance picked the TV star at the hotel and rushed her to the hospital. They have also revealed that sources confirmed that David believes his girlfriend attempted suicide.
As of this writing, we do not have information about Tamar’s current condition. However, as the singer’s spokesperson confirmed, the 43-year-old “had a very tough and emotional day.”
“Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day — more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her,” the spokesperson said.
Shortly before the celebrity’s hospitalization, her pal, NeNe Leakes of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’, allegedly spoke to Tamar. She later suggested that the star was going through some issues in an Instagram post.
“When you are a strong person, you manage stress differently! People tend to judge the outside Strength on the inside abilities to cope! A lot of strong people cry in the dark and hurt alone,” NeNe expressed in her post in which she shared a photo of her and Tamar.
“I talk to Tamar often! Spoke to her yesterday and tried to pull her thru this moment. Spoke to her and David today! I say that to say this… check on your strong friends!
“Try not to judge so much! know that there are people being treated wrong for real and It’s really painful. I know Tamar is gonna get thru this but please pray for her strength.”
