There is no doubt that animals can also be artists. Just a few years ago, a pig dubbed as ‘Pigcasso’ became an internet sensation for his incredible artwork!
Now, adorable rats also want to show how talented they are and people love their miniature paintings!
Their owner, Steph Toogood, said she didn’t expect that they’ll have a rat business. “The idea of painting on canvases came to me after I lost one of my boys, Captain Jack Sparrow (Gibbs’ brother) last year.”
Jack underwent surgery but failed to wake up from anesthetic. But Steph took some paw prints after the rat had passed away.
“I thought it would be lovely for my boys to do something similar when they were with me to keep when they’re gone, so I got some mini canvases and paint, and they’ve created memorial pieces for me to keep,” Steph explained.
Because she loves to take photos, she also took pictures of her adorable rats next to their cute paintings. After sharing the images online, people offered to buy some of the little art pieces!
One Facebook user wrote: “I can’t express how much I love these, this is literally the cutest friggin thing I’ve ever seen.”
Another wrote: “Lovely and unique works of art- please tell me the paints are safe, non-toxic, and/or organic. Do you have a FAQ/Answers? Sorry if you’ve already posted this info somewhere.”
A third added: “I think it is amazing that there is still this kind of people who cares enough for animals and actually find the way of help them with creativity. Reeeeeally love your page and your ratties’ work.”
