It was high time any announcement regarding Rocky VII was made after Sylvester Stallone announced last year about the retirement of the character.
Fans lost hopes that they would see Sylvester as Rocky Balboa again. But to their delight, Sylvester recently revealed in an interview that the Rocky VII is being developed.
The plot will revolve around a young street fighter who is illegally living in the U.S. and Balboa taking the fighter in his wing.
Sylvester talked about Rocky meeting an angry, young person who gets stuck in the country after he comes to see his sister and that Rocky takes him into his life. Together they go on an unbelievable journey.
The creators of Rocky VII are negotiating with Sylvester to both write and act in the movie.point 353 |
Sylvester also noted that after playing the fictional boxer for so long, he feels a deep connection with the character.point 100 | He also said that Rocky is a character who speaks a lot spilling his guts out and some of whatever he says, his other characters cannot say.point 214 |
He also added that if a writer does that then it would look like the writer is lost in the world of exposition.point 89 | 1
He announced after the release of Creed II that he will retire the boxing champ character. He did so by posting an emotional post on Instagram last year. He said it was time to hand the gloves for once and for all and pass them to another star.
Thankfully he has changed his mind and will now play the legendary character once again.
