Authorities released surveillance footage showing the unidentified suspects who riddled a home with bullets, taking the life of a 19-month-old baby boy and injuring his twin brother.
According to the Canton Police Department, Arcel and Ace Lucas, both 19 months old, were asleep when the gunmen opened fire. Multiple bullets shot through the home in Ohio and hit both children.
The young children were rushed to a local hospital where Ace passed away from a gunshot wound.
Surveillance footage outside the house showed two suspects walking around the home. Both of them are carrying a handgun.
The attackers were seen walking past a patio filled with toys and a mini basketball.
As soon as the first man walked out of the camera’s view, multiple gunshots were heard.
According to Canton Police Chief Jack Angelo, ‘numerous, numerous shots were fired into the house.’
The exact relationship between the victims and suspects is not known.
Neighbors said that the babies were at the Canton home that night to visit their father, 19 News reported.
In a press release from the police department, it was stated that the FBI is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who was information.
“I don’t even have a count exactly on how many of them were fired, but, you know, the house was riddled with bullet holes after the fact,” Canton Police Chief Jack Angelo told Fox 8.
“You shoot into a house not knowing who is in there or anything else and you end up killing one and almost killing a second child.
“It’s just these people don’t have a conscience.”
The police department asks that anyone with information call 330-489-3144 or 330-649-5800, or text 847411 by writing ‘CANTON’ and add the message.
