Tina Robson hadn’t met her son Martin for the last two years. On her 60th birthday, her son decided to surprise her.

Martin flew more than 10,000 miles from Brisbane, Australia to England to surprise his mother on her 60th birthday.

Tina was having her birthday lunch in Poole, Dorset when her son tapped her on the shoulder. The mother was left shocked when she turned and saw her son standing behind her.

She screamed and hugged her son and they both were left in tears. Tina’s other son David, who helped Martin to surprise their mother, filmed the moment.

David said that Martin told him about surprising their mother six months ago and it was very emotional watching them together after two years.

Martin stayed with the family for two weeks before he went back to Brisbane, Australia where he moved to 12 years ago.

David said: “He rang me six months ago with his idea to surprise her, it was so difficult to keep quiet, I just wanted to blurt it out. We were all so emotional watching on as it happened, we knew how much this would mean to her.”

“I keep watching the moment over and over again, even now and still start to well up. Martin was able to stay with us for two weeks and even managed to attend our brother’s wedding the following weekend.”

“It was so lovely to be all back together as a family again.”
