When Justin Rozier was only 9-months-old, his father, Jonathan Rozier was killed in the line of duty while serving in the US Armed Forces.
Jessica, Jonathan’s wife, had just talked to her husband before his death. They talked about their son and how well he is doing.
Sadly, Jonathan never got to meet Justin. Jessica was a grieving widow; she was trying to put her life back together for the sake of their son. She wanted to bring some normality to her life, so she decided to sell few of Jonathan’s things.
Among those things was Jonathan’s 1999 black Toyota Convertible. She wanted to move this car in particular as it reminded her of Jonathan every time.
Because Jessica had a loan on her house and nobody could drive the car, she decided to sell the car and use the money to pay off for the house. She didn’t think twice before selling the car because she knew that it was the best thing to do as she was raising a child alone.
When Justin started to grow older, he began asking questions about Jonathan. And by the time he was 15, he looked exactly like his father.
Justin grew more curious about his dad; he started gathering stuff and pictures that belonged to his father.
He eventually came to know about his dad’s old Toyota convertible. He wanted that car more than anything else. He couldn’t explain his feelings, but he really wanted to sit on the very same seat his father once sat in.
Jessica understood Justin’s pain and decided to track down the old Toyota that she sold 15 years ago. She knew that it was pointless as that car could be anywhere right now but she wanted to try for Justin’s sake.
It wasn’t easy for her to go door-to-door asking for a black convertible Toyota. So she turned to Facebook. Her touching story reached millions, and before long, something extraordinary happened.
Jessica was contacted by the car’s current owner, but he was in no mood of selling it. But somehow, they ended up making a deal. Jessica bought the car, but it looked no way near to when she sold it. It was in bad condition.
The car was not in good condition but Jessica was willing to spend whatever amount to get the car restored. However, Kyle Fox, a complete stranger came across her story and decided to help Jessica. He managed to gather enough money to purchase the car to pay for the restoration.
He gathered up enough volunteers who can restore the car for good.
It was Justin’s 16th birthday, and everyone came to surprise him with his dad’s old Toyota. His reaction was priceless when he saw the car rolling on to his driveway.

It was an incredible gesture from his mother and all the other people involved in getting the car restored.
