This Supermarket Was Forced to Throw Food Worth $35,000 Because of Twisted Prank by a Woman


A supermarket located in Pennsylvania was forced to throw away food worth $35,000 after a woman deliberately coughed over it in the name of Twisted Coronavirus prank.

Gerrity’s Supermarket situated in Luzerne County revealed that a women coughed over the fresh produce, bakery, meat cases, and other section of groceries. This means that employees of the market had no choice but to throw away all the food and clean out the shelves in order to prevent the spread of possible case of covid19.

This prank was played at the time when people are concerned about the shortage of supply due to people stockpiling groceries amidst the outbreak of COVID-19.

This woman entered the store at 2:20 pm on Wednesday afternoon prior to playing the prank. Once the supermarket employee noticed what she has been doing, the team quickly escorted out of the store and called the police.

The co-owner of the store said that he had his suspicion that she was doing it because of the apparent prank, but decided to throw the food away and disinfected the shelves over the health concerns of the other shoppers.

Joe Fasula, the co-owner said that they had no other choice but to throw away all the products that the lady touched.

In fact, they worked with Hanover Township Health and inspected and identified every area of the store that she went through, cleared out the products and disinfected the area.

The incident is now being taken to the District Attorney who will be deciding on the charges against the accused.

She will also be tested for coronavirus, but the store owner does not believe that she has it. People on social media have started this trend and supermarkets have been dealing with such nuisance for a couple of weeks.
