Floyd Mayweather who has been a boxing legend himself has extended his help to Deontay Wilder, his fellow American boxer who was defeated in a fight against Tyson Fury.
Floyd Mayweather says that if he can train Wilder for the coming trilogy fight then he can make him win.
Wilder has confirmed that he has used the rematch clause in his contract as he lost a fight against Tyson in 7 round fight in Las Vegas at the end of February.
Mayweather who has been a legend in his career with 50-0 fight record. He now believes that he can train Wilder to bang a win against Tyson.
He said “If I get to train him I can teach him how to win” When he was asked whether Wilder can actually defeat Tyson or not.
Fury had dominated the fight against Wilder as he constantly kept hitting the boxer before he was dropped down to the canvas two times. The match was then paused by Wilder’s assistant coach.
After the defeat, Mayweather took to Instagram to appreciate his fellow boxer on the fight even though it was a defeat.
He wrote, “No matter what they say or what the fight ended up in, you will always be our king.”
When confronted the same with Wilder he said that Mayweather has always been jealous of him especially after the last year’s weight lifting challenge that he won incredibly. He says that the world had its attention on Wilder and that is something that Mayweather could not accept.
The rematch announced is scheduled to happen in July, probably on July 18 in Las Vegas’s MGM Grand Garden Arena.
So now all we have to do is wait for summer to arrive soon to witness this incredible fight between the two.
