‘Popular’ Website SUED For Profiting From Videos ‘Without Obtaining Women’s Consent’


Pornhub is getting sued by more than 30 women for profiting from explicitly themed videos without obtaining their consent on the matter.

The online streaming site was recently slapped with a major lawsuit that alleges the organization of igniting an aggressive campaign that attempts to shame all of its victims. As of recent times, more than 34 victims have come forward with their accusations, which they term to be absolutely unacceptable and a complete violation of their rights.

Local media outlets confirm how the lawsuit was filed against the company that owns Pornhub as well as a number of other pornography-themed sites on the web too. The victims continue to allege the organization of uploading their videos without any form of consent being taken.

Hence, the victims have now taken things to the next level, lodging a major civil suit against the company called MindGeek. This company reportedly owns Pornhub. The lawsuit was filed at the District Court of the US in California, where the company was accused of horrifying behavior.

While none of the allegations being brought forward against the company are yet to be proven in the court of law, the company is being called out by critics for profiting from women who never gave them their approval for the act.

The suit, in particular, mentioned how the women’s rights were blatantly ignored, shamed, and even mocked, whenever they made several attempts at requesting the organization of removing their videos from the platform.

The lawsuit was filed in the court on Thursday and it seeks damages as well as complete protection of the plaintiffs involved in the ordeal.
