In the disturbing video shared on Instagram, a group of students from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove performed the racist move while looking towards the speaker at the podium.

One student shared the clip online with the lyrics of a song written by a member of the Nazi party Herms Niel.

Professor Peter Simi said to The Daily Beast: “It’s not something you’d expect somebody to accidentally know about.

“Are they on websites or web forums or other social media platforms where they’re engaging with others informed on these issues?”

Dr. Simi said to the Daily Mail that he was not able to the name the exact song from the ‘poor audio’ in the clip, which is already deleted. The students involved have not been identified.

The Garden Grove Unified School district said to The Daily Beast that administrators became aware of it a few months after it was shared online but didn’t confirm if any of the teens involved were disciplined.

“While the district cannot comment on student discipline, the school did address this situation with all involved students and families,” said a spokesman.

However, one parent has raised concerns that the clip was not brought to the attention of the public after it was seen by young people.

One student claimed it wasn’t talked about and said to The Daily Beast that they were not sure if the students were disciplined.

Rabbi Peter Levi, the director of the Anti Defamation League’s Orange County chapter, said the case ‘requires investigation and conversation.’

According to the school board, the district “adheres to strong policies about harassment and cultural sensitivity, and we condemn all acts of anti-Semitism and hate in all forms.”

“We remain focused on educating students about cultural sensitivity and are committed to holding students accountable, educating them on the consequences of their choices, and the impact these actions have on our schools and community at large,” a spokesperson added.
