Washington University Student Senator Filmed THROWING Away 2,977 US Flags From 9/11 Display


A student senator hailing from Washington University was recently called out after video footage surfaced online featuring him collecting and throwing 2,977 American flags.

According to local media outlets, the miniature flags were originally used to commemorate the victims who lost their lives in the tragic 9/11 attacks. However, the student felt the need to stage a protest on the 20th anniversary of the attacks by collecting the flags from the display and throwing them away.

The incident which took place on Saturday featured Fadel Alkilani who didn’t appear in the best of spirits during the act.point 108 | He could be heard mumbling words like ‘go away, I am doing nothing wrong,’ as one man questioned him for his bizarre behavior.point 224 | 1

As the cameraman starts to film the student senator, Alkilani starts to get aggressive and is heard yelling, “who are you?” The man identifies himself as Nathaniel Hope who is a Republican from the University.point 301 |

Furthermore, when the man questions him about his stance regarding the whole situation and why he would think of trashing the American flag, Alkilani had much to say.point 139 | 1

“This is a protest against the US. There is so much misinformation running around. We need to protest against the American imperialism that is taking place as well as the 900,000 people killed due to the war by the Americans, post the 9/11 attacks,” he began to add.

Authorities claim that this is definitely not the first time that this young man was called out for his repulsive behavior. Yes, just one night before, he made several attempts to damage the entire memorial for 9/11 victims on campus but was thankfully stopped by security officials who managed to arrive in the nick of time.

“I have done absolutely nothing wrong, neither have I violated any rules of the university or any legal policy,” he boldly comments towards the end, while asking the cameraman to get out of his way.
