A Student Lost Her Leg To Infection Because Of A Robbery In Costa Rica Now Seeks Spiritual Resonance


Gabrielle Newell who is 18 years old and a student at the University of Nevada narrates the traumatic incident which took place with her.

She was taking part in a study abroad program in Heredia. She was attacked by a robber who wanted to snatch her iPod. The robber attacked her and poor Newell had to bear the consequences of that attack for a long time.

The robber pushed her in front of a train in Costa Rica and she suffered from the ordeal.

She started reconnecting to God and even moved to New York.

Newell narrates to her condition as she only remembers that she was pushed from behind and the robber even hit her on the left side of her head.

She lost consciousness and had no idea that her leg was gone.

Newell says that she was bleeding after the attack and was even screaming.

Suddenly a man was passing by from that place and he heard Newell’s screams. He tied the belt around her scar and took her to the hospital.

Doctors told that it was a very grieve situation. Doctors told that she will have to lose her knee.

Doctors decided to transfer her as her condition was not stable.

Even after she was transferred to Las Vegas her infection caught her so badly that her whole leg turned black.

Doctors said that this kind of infections is only seen in people who live or visit rain forests. Newell was so angry with the person who left her to this condition just for an iPod. She even faced depression and anxiety attacks.

Her criminal was never caught by the police and this thing disturbed her a lot. This situation left a grieve impact on Newell and she had to move to New York.

Even after a few months, she feared public transportation as that incident revolved around her mind and she feared her condition.

After 5 months Newell was transferred to St. Johns University. She had lost her legs and was an amputee.

It was hard for her to walk with a prosthetic which was painful and even unbearable.

Owing to massive loss Newell suffered from androphobia,  started fearing from people but then a great shift came to her life and she connected herself with God.

She established a relation with God and the bible. After this resonance, a version of confident Newell was observed and she started helping others. Newell has shifted back to Nevada and has made a documentary on her life.
