A 20-year-old student fatally shot himself in the head while playing a game of Russian roulette with his friend.
Cades Emanuel Pimenta Santos Norte and his friend were drinking at his home when they started playing the dangerous game.
According to reports, the two took turns firing the gun while pointing it at their heads.
The deadly game ended in tragedy after Norte held the gun to his head and shot himself, the local Military Police said.
His friend, who is also 20, told authorities that Norte had called him so they could hang out while drinking and listening to music.
When he arrived at Norte’s home, he said that Norte had a .38 caliber revolver in his hand with one bullet inside.
The two then started playing the lethal game of chance, taking turns to pull the trigger while pointing the gun to their heads.
Norte’s friend said that he received the gun twice before the law student fired the gun again and tragically shot himself.
He said that they had played the game more than four times in the past.
This is not the first time the Russian roulette game has claimed a life.
In 2015, 15-year-old Ana Julia Lima Clemente tragically died while playing the game with her uncle’s gun. She reportedly held the gun at her head and pulled the trigger.
When nothing happened, she pulled the trigger again. She instantly died when she did it the third time.
In 2016, Austin Barcarcel from Virginia, US, tragically died while playing the game during his 18th birthday.
