The 27-year-old used to regularly visit different KFC outlets, saying that he was sent from headquarters for quality assurance checks and to make sure everything was up to the mark.

During his visits, the employees of the fast-food chain would behave really well, offering him foods to try.

The University of KwaZulu-Natal student used to walk in with such confidence that the staff at various outlets never doubted him for once, according to India Today.

He would dress very nicely and would also carry an ID from KFC’s “head office.” Sometimes, he would even arrive in a limousine to impress the employees at the restaurants.

It turned out later that one of the unnamed man’s friends was a part-time limousine driver, according to Xpouzar.

“When he arrived we would all try to act our best so that we didn’t piss off the man from head office – he was so convincing because he was so confident, and even colleagues from other branches of KFC know him,” a KFC employee told Xpouzar.

“When he came in, he rushed to the kitchen and checked everything, taking notes and then asked for samples of whatever he wanted. He probably worked for KFC before because he knows everything.”

The story went viral after it was shared on social media by a Kenyan journalist from a Twitter account called ‘The African Voice.’
