Playa Del Carmen in Mexico stands out for its interesting sights as well as the activities tourists can do here. In fact, it is among the top tourist locations of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Famous for its pedestrian streets, the city enables visitors to enjoy restaurants, shops, nightclubs and a number of other entertainments. One of the most interesting things to do on the streets of Playa Del Carmen is to watch the street artists and performers showcasing their talent to earn some money.

Among these artists and performers, there was a pair of very active dancers who had demarcated some area for their performance by placing some cones on the road. They were busting moves to a remake version of “September,” a hit performance from the band Earth, Wind and Fire.

The first thing to be noticed about the duo is that one of the performers is unusually shorter in stature and has “imbalanced” legs. But, if one looks at him for a few seconds, it is obvious that the man has got some great dance moves and is incredibly quick in his movement.

His move starts with a smooth and fast spin on his palms before he returns back to his feet – and that’s just the ‘warm-up’ for the lad.

As the tempo moves up, the incredibly abled man shifts to a handstand, holding his body upside down, and then, he even lifts up one hand. He continues to dance, with one hand on the floor and the other swinging with the beats, complemented by the calculated and rhythmic movement of his legs. Nearby people, moved by his strength and agility, can be heard shouting encouragement.

Not stopping just there, the artist finishes the performance with a bunch of swift moves, shifting from hands to his feet and even elbows. Remarkably, all the moves are well-coordinated and perfectly-synced with the music.

He glances the audience with a smile that has a hint of shyness in it when he notes that he’s being recorded. His sparkling grin clearly shows that he knows how great a performance he has just performed. He waves to the crowd to humbly accept their cheering.

Now it’s the time for his partner to come to the circle.

This man has also got some serious moves, especially some fine footwork. He is incredibly fit as performing such a demanding act in the blazing heat of June is no easy task.

While he performs some really amazing moves on both his hands and palms, the first man gets some time to relax and steps right back on the floor. He performs a series of steps which appear to be a hybrid of athletics and break dancing.

Clearly, such perfect dance speaks of the enormous training and practice these men must’ve gone through. Like the majority of the street artists, they also have a small cup with a humble sign suggesting they’d love to get some monetary appreciation for their work.

The street performance had everything; people gasping in disbelief, shouting encouragement, and cheering comments. BUT the small cup didn’t receive the attention the artists deserve.

These men are doing this to pay bills, to put food on the table, to sustain. If you stop by to see them, you are morally obligated to show some generosity. If you are filming them to share their amazing skill on social media, you ought to offer them something more than just shouts of praise.
