A stray dog was caught on camera rushing to the aid of the street performer who was lying on the ground and pretending to be injured.
The heartfelt moment occurred somewhere in Turkey as it was actor Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy’s time to shine with his performance.
“The character I played was injured and in great pain. He’d fallen off a horse, and was breathing hard,” the man explained in an interview with The Dodo.
Once on the ground, Numan was surprised to see a stray dog approach him, sit down next to him, and place its head across the actor’s neck.
As if trying to comfort the performer, the dog also showered the actor with its kisses, prompting the man to start laughing.
“I was very happy when I felt the dog’s kisses. I was very touched. He was like an angel who wanted to help me. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was not expecting it,” Numan told The Dodo.
While the play didn’t go as planned, everyone appeared to be pleased by the loving dog’s actions. “My castmates loved the dog, and the audience was very happy. Everyone cheered,” the actor added.
After sharing a hug with the performer, the stray pooch was escorted off the stage and eventually walked away.
As Numan added, he now wants to be reunited with the pooch in order to help him find the home he deserves.
“The next day I went to the same place, looking for him. People told me he usually hangs out there. I went again today. I’ll look for him until I find him. I’ve always loved animals,” he concluded.
