Parents Slammed B&M Store For Closing The Aisles Selling Baby Products Because They Are Not ‘Necessities’


Parents have slammed a B&M store in Gloucester after it stopped selling baby products as they don’t think they are ‘necessities’.

When a shopper went to a B&M store in Gloucester, they spotted a sign that said the store has temporarily closed the aisles selling baby products, including Aptamil milk, bibs and shampoo because they are not ‘necessities’.

The sign read: “To all customers, as a business we’ve temporarily closed these aisles. We don’t deem them as necessities. Please stay safe and remember to keep your distances.”

The shopper was left fuming after reading the notice and shared a picture of the sign on Facebook.

The shopper slammed the B&M store in Gloucester as parents are struggling to find things amid coronavirus outbreak.

During this tough time, the decision of closing the aisle selling baby products was criticized by the shopper online.

The angry shopper wrote: “Could anyone explain how baby items aren’t necessities?? I personally think this is absolutely ridiculous!”

The post instantly went viral online and people agreed with the angry shopper and called it a bad and wrong decision amid coronavirus crisis.

One mother asked how providing for a baby is not a necessity while another asked if they need something for their baby, what would they do if the store would not anymore provide it.

One angry mum said: “This is ridiculous.. people are struggling to get baby milk and nappy’s etc and they’re telling us they’re not necessities. People really need to open there f*****g eyes!”

Hundreds of people commented on the post and said not even one thing in the aisle is unnecessary.

In fact, all the items in the aisle are very much needed by a child on a daily basis.
