Music Icon Stevie Wonder Revealed He Will Be Undergoing A Kidney Transplant This Fall


Stevie Wonder will be undergoing a kidney transplant this year.

“I’m all good, I’m all good, all good. I have a donor and it’s all good,” the 25-time Grammy winner reassured his fans while announcing his transplant.

The legendary musician, singer, and songwriter revealed the big news during his concert at the British Summer Time Festival in London this Saturday.

“So what’s going to happen is this: I am going to have a kidney transplant at the end of September this year,” he said.

“I want you to know, I came here to give you my love and thank you for your love. You ain’t got to hear no rumors, I told you what’s up, I am good,” he added.

The 69-year-old icon will be conducting three more rocking performances before taking a break for his treatment.

Sharing Wonder’s BST concert on her Insta, actress Kate Beckinsale captioned a picture of the singer with hashtag #StevieWonder.

“Can’t think of a nicer way to come home,” the English actress wrote.

People across the globe have been sending good wishes to Wonder ever since they learned about his condition.

“Stevie Wonder is truly an inspiration to every musician and American for that matter. I can remember listening to him in the 60’s from my older brothers music. Godspeed to his recovery,” one Twitter user wrote.

A report by the Detroit Free Press revealed for the first time that Stevie was facing “some health challenges,” but the exact causes of his deteriorating health were not made public.

Despite the medical issues he was facing, Wonder has been active like always as he holds music events.
