Bella and Edward’s fans are celebrating once again as Stephenie Meyer finally releases her new book Midnight Sun, a highly anticipated follow up to the 2005 Twilight saga.
While the new book will tell the same story as Twilight, it will be from Edward Cullen’s perspective this time.
The 46-year-old author announced in May that she would give Twilight fans another treat of the happenings in Forks, Washington, and Twihards immediately went wild.
“It feels strange to be making this announcement when the world is suffering through a pandemic, and no one really knows what’s next. I thought seriously about delaying this announcement until things were back to normal; however, that felt wrong, considering how long those who are eager for this book have already waited,” Meyers said.
“I know how much I personally need distractions right now, how much I need something to look forward to, and most of all, how much I need more books to read. So, I hope this book gives my readers a little pleasure to anticipate and, after it arrives, a chance to live in an imaginary world for a while.”
The Twilight saga was comprised of four books – Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn – released from 2005 to 2008.
The story was brought to the big screen, with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in the lead roles.
However, fans only got to see how the story unfolded from Bella’s point of view. Now, it’s the vampire’s turn!
