Starbucks Is Bringing Back Its Holiday Cups In 4 New Designs


Starbucks has announced that its holiday drinks, foods and signature red and green cups will be back in stores throughout the U.

“Customers have really let us know that tradition is important to them,” chief operating officer Roz Brewer told CNN Business. “Even when we introduce our pumpkin platform, they’re already asking about Christmas.”

There will be four designs available for new holiday cups: Polka Dots, Merry Dance, Merry Stripes, and Candy Cane Stripe. The official press release reported that they are meant to “evoke mini moments of joy for our customers and partners – it’s fun, festive and uniquely Starbucks.”

The polka dot cup is red in color and has green small circles on it. The Merry Dance cup has a text ‘Merry Coffee’ written on it with red and green letters.

The Merry Stripes cup has a green color and features small white lettering that spells out MERRY COFFEE again. Candy Cane Stripes cup has white and red stripes on it and features Starbucks wordmark in large green lettering.

”Come in early tomorrow to get a free reusable red cup with the purchase of your favorite handcrafted holiday beverage,” Starbucks said in an email to its Rewards members.

”Hurry—these won’t last long, and we only have a limited number. Available at participating stores.”

Customers can bring cups back after 2 p.m. through January 7,o get 50 cents off a grande size holiday beverage.

”This year, we have made great strides to create inventory in all of our stores, so actually merchandise is in stores now, and we feel confident about securing a large supply of red cups,” Starbucks’ Chief Operating Officer Rosalind Brewer said Monday, in an interview with CNBC.

This year Starbucks will sell five specialty holiday drinks, the peppermint mocha, toasted white chocolate mocha, caramel brulee latte, chestnut praline latte and eggnog latte, in addition to its Christmas coffee blend.
