Amidst the hustle and bustle in Times Square, there is a new object present that is stealing the attention of all.
Designed by Stereotank, a Brooklyn based studio by a pair of Venezuelan architects for the annual Architecture competitioncreated a plastic model of a red exotic heart and named it “Heart Beat.”
The model won the show and hearts of all and now it stands in the middle of Times Square awaiting Valentines.
Do not presume the model as just another plastic structure because it is not.
The model of the heart is actually an urban drum that the people going around Manhattan’s center can try their hands and rhythms on. They can play on the drum at any time of the day.
You probably would be thinking how the sound of Heart Beat is going to be heard or is going to come out.
The answer to it is that it is a drum designed in a way to sound like heartbeat and the rhythm coming out of it mingles with the contemporary sounds of urban life coming out of the surroundings as the cars run by all the time and people scream, talk, sing and make as much noise as they can.
Times Square is the center of the town and thousands of people cross it every day. That is how it has become all the more interesting.
It is amusing to see such a unique piece in the middle of Times Square. The object is attractive and very impressive.
It is staying for Valentine’s Day, and everything is welcomed when it comes to making valentine’s day better.
